Description: The most recognizable woman in technology lives in our collective imagination. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing taught millions globally, but the software’s Haitian-born cover model vanished decades ago. Two DIY detectives search for the model while posing questions about identity and artificial intelligence in this playful and illuminating documentary.

Yale in Hollywood Presents: Chat with Griffin Santopietro (Cobra Kai)—Getting into Hollywood with Kevin Winston | Berkeley College Swiss Room, Yale University
From Yale in Hollywood: If you're interested in Getting into Hollywood, attend our two part chat. From 5-6pm, Yale in Hollywood President Kevin Winston (formerly Sony Pictures, Fox Pictures; Digital LA CEO) will give tips on "Getting into Hollywood." If you're interested in film or TV acting, writing, directing, production, marketing, music, games, animation, digital or VFX, or just exploring your creative side, we'll share tips on navigating Los Angeles and getting into Hollywood. Free to attend, just show up!
We'll discuss jobs in entertainment, how to get in, and what you can do as a student to help your career. Also, learn about the Yale in Hollywood summer internship program which has given two-dozen students important industry experience at LA studios, agencies, and production companies for the past 15 years. From 6-7pm: Chat with Griffin Santopietro, who plays Anthony LaRusso on the award winning Netflix series Cobra Kai. Griffin will share how he got into acting, working on Cobra Kai, and what he's doing in acting and entertainment as a Yale first-year.
Kevin Winston is the founder and president of Yale in Hollywood for the past 15 years. Kevin has worked at Sony Pictures, Fox Interactive Media, McKinsey, and currently runs Digital LA. He is a member of the Emmys/Television Academy, and a Blue Ribbon judge for the Streamy Awards for digital content. He was recently named as one of LA's 500 Most Influential People by LA Business Journal, in which he was flabbergasted and honored to be listed after Oprah Winfrey and before Reese Witherspoon.
